Odin Financial Advisors believes emerging markets offer unique business opportunities led by savvy business entrepreneurs across various industries. Within merchant banking we employ two main strategies: 1) making investments in private equity related transactions we advise and execute, 2) we make investments at seed and venture capital stages in micro and small cap businesses utilizing our own and the capital of our individual investors.
Private Equity Linked Investments
We excel in sourcing proprietary transactions for our private equity clients. An important part of our strategy in sourcing proprietary transactions is for us to participate in the equity investment along with our clients. Through these investments we not only continue our advisory work for the shareholders but also become a trusted “on the ground” representative of international private equity firms operating in local markets where we assist in the management of their portfolio companies.
Seed and Venture Capital Stage Investments
We seek to make early stage investments in micro and small cap companies backed by the vision and excitement of highly spirited business entrepreneurs. We have part-time senior consultants who have combined 40 years of consulting experience working for the world’s leading business consulting firms who assist us in creating further value to our portfolio companies. An important part of our early stage investment strategy is to help grow these companies nationally where we eventually assist them in partnering with the region’s leading private equity firms. Our target investment period in our portfolio companies is 36 months.
